Hello Fellow Readers,

I am pleased to be a part of The Canterbury Tales and I am looking forward to expanding my thoughts and feelings on poetry, liturature and the arts of writing with you all. I, myself am a writer of poetry; words which come forth from within your heart. I hold a deep appreciation for writers, even the ones who write thier own thoughts and feelings on paper but do not share them. In this thought I ask...

What is words which rhyme and flow from within if they are not shared and brought to life from someone reading them??

Just mere words locked away...
Poetry has a sole purpose which is to connect different ideas and emotions together
So I wonder how many writers do we have in here?

2. literary work in metrical form; verse.

My dear friend... You may not be good at writing... however, are you qualified to say you are not a poet??

Poetry is something inside being expressed in an outward form... we are all poets my dear.. some light and feathery some dark and cold... some express in ways of writing what is inside.... some dare to dance, an outward movement of the body expressing how they feel inside... some draw or paint allowing colors and lines dance on paper creating art... some hear music they hear various tones and pitches along with beats... they too are poets for they are composors of the music... in anyway you can say you are no poet because you do not write... ahhh but do you feel?? everyone have a poet inside just wanting to be heard and expressed... some hold back in fear of expressing how they feel... but still they too are a poet!:)

As long as what you write comes from within... in my theory you are a poet... but to tune your heart and mind to listening is the only key...

There are many "rules" in english poetry that are given... Personally... I find when you let go of the emotions and are able to control those emotions... like water being released... focus... release and it flows when you are a good listener.... but who am i to say?? anyone else have a theory??
